Daily work

On this page

Everything that happens at the counter starts with a ticket: a repair, a sale over the counter, an installation or a quote the customer accepted. The ticket holds the customer, the device when there is one, the work, the notes, the files and its bill. The customer pays on the ticket, and the receipt or invoice carries the ticket number.

A day at the counter

  1. Open the shop. Sign in. The sidebar shows how many tickets are still waiting next to Tickets; the dashboard shows what came in and what is ready.
  2. A customer walks in with a broken phone. Press + New Ticket, find the customer by phone (or let them type their details on the customer screen), pick the device from the device catalog, describe the problem and add the repair from the catalog.
  3. The label prints. Stick it on the phone. Later, pointing the barcode scanner at the label opens the ticket from any page.
  4. The customer signs the repair agreement on the customer screen or the tablet: they check the work and the price, read the terms and sign.
  5. The technician works on it. They move the ticket through its statuses, add notes and photos, and the customer is told when it is ready.
  6. The customer comes back. Scan the label, take the payment on the bill, print the receipt and mark the ticket Delivered.
  7. A walk-in buys a charger. A new ticket for the walk-in customer, one line, Take payment: the sale finishes by itself.
  8. Someone asks for a price. Write a quote, send it, and convert it to a ticket when the customer says yes.
