Install Mergi

Download

Download Mergi Setup from the Mergi page on xssit.com. The setup program is signed by XTREME SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS & IT, so Windows shows who made it.

Install

1. Run the setup program you downloaded.
2. Choose whether to install Mergi for you only (the default: no administrator rights needed, and updates install without a prompt) or for everybody on the computer.
3. Read and accept the licence agreement. The setup shows it in English or Spanish, the language you picked.
4. Choose the options:
   • Create a desktop shortcut (not ticked).
   • Add Mergi to "Open with" for PDF files (ticked). Mergi is added to the Open with menu of PDF files in Explorer. It never makes itself the default PDF app: you choose that in Windows.
5. Click Install. At the end the setup prepares Mergi for a fast start, which takes a few seconds.

Upgrade

Run the setup of a newer version over the one you have: your settings, recent files and licence stay. Most of the time you will not need to, because Mergi updates itself from inside the app.

Uninstall

Open Settings › Apps › Installed apps in Windows, find Mergi and choose Uninstall. Your settings stay in %APPDATA%\Mergi; delete that folder too if you want to remove them.
